Saab assets sold to China

GM has announced that Saab Automobile AB has sold Saab its 9-3 and current 9-5 models, along with powertrain technology and tooling to Beijing Automotive Industry Holdings Co. Ltd (BAIC).

Saab will help BAIC to integrate this technology into future BAIC vehicles.

“This arrangement is excellent for both parties, now and for the future,” said Jan Åke Jonsson, Managing Director of Saab Automobile said.  “We have developed a good relationship with BAIC and look forward to working with them to integrate this Saab technology into their future vehicles.”
