ATW companies acquire MIM business

04 November 2009

Parmatech-Proform Corporation, a subsidiary of metal components specialist ATW Companies Inc has acquired the metal injection moulding (MIM) business of Morgan Advanced Ceramics.

The acquisition will expand the MIM technology currently offered by Parmatech Corporation.

The business features a proprietary MIM process and its products are used in the medical, telecommunications, aerospace, electrical and power, semiconductor and laser markets.
The companies say that this acquisition will develop Parmatech Corporation's current MIM business, expanding its MIM capabilities to the East Coast of the US, as well as expanding production capabilities and improving product quality.
"We anticipate the combination of our businesses will prove beneficial by empowering us to serve our customers better,” said Peter C. Frost, president of ATW Companies.
