Two orders for Centorr

04 November 2009

New Hampshire-based Centorr Vacuum Industries (CVI) has received orders for two high-temperature sintering furnaces for 2009-2010 delivery from customers in the US and South America.

Designs from the Nashua furnace builder include a 2 cu ft and a 12 cu ft design for silicon carbide and boron carbide sintering. These new furnaces build on CVI's experience in non-oxide ceramics and tungsten carbide hardmetals with modifications made specifically for higher-temperature silicon and boron carbide processing.
Centorr's design includes graphite tube and block elements designed for use to 2450°C, with single or multiple control zones for temperature uniformity. CVI has an installed base of more than 6000 units worldwide.
