The DOM Semi highly precise 4-axis grinding centres, for ISO standard indexable inserts for periphery grinding including K-Lands, are designed with simple programming requirements and allow for faster set-up. DOM Semi features include newly designed infeed axis with a linear motor, polymer concrete machine base for vibration dampening, latest WINDOWS operating system and newest machine safety systems and fully enclosed grinding area to keep all moving axes and handling system in a dry environment. All programs from previous generation Agathon machines can be transferred for use with the new DOM Semi.

Up to 4 workpiece trays can be stored in the machine's tray area. The auto-handling of each workpiece takes place during the grinding by means of a pick and place linear handling system. Finished inserts can be separated from rough blanks and put back into different trays.
