Fewer cars to sell

Detroit’s Big Three - GM, Ford, and the Chrysler group - are cutting inventories according to Automotive News, aiming at an ideal 60-day supply of vehicles. Their domestic brands entered March with a collective 75-day supply, down from 95 days on February 1. European automakers had a 61-day supply on March 1. Japanese and Korean car companies had a 60-day inventory during the same period.
