EPM sales rise as new build boosts future

Leading Chinese powder compacting press builder EPM has reported sales increases totalling 35 per cent in the first three quarters of the year.

EPM roared ahead with revenues of $6.6 million compared with $4.9 million in the same period of 2006. Around  25 per cent of sales are generated by exports. EPM presses have been sold into 15 countries around the world, including Germany, the US, Italy and Spain. With the construction of a new 23 000 square metre EPM plant, sales are expected to rise to $16 million by the end of 2008.
EPM was established in 1995. The company has flourished in the booming Chinese economy and has developed into a company with more than 2000 sets of presses supplied in less than 12 years. This achievement, says the company, provides not only the foundation for ongoing development, but also the right conditions to build up a 230-strong specialised team.
EPM currently offers its customers a range of eight mechanical presses from 3 tons to 500 tons including sizing presses as well as tool adaptors, pressing tools, a design service and training programmes. However, with the opening of the new plant the product range is also expected to feature advanced CNC machines.
