Mathson heads South
Detroit-based metal injection moulder Mathson Industries is to open a new plant in Hodges, South Carolina, creating 50 jobs.
The $5 million 103 000 sq ft facility is being constructed to service Mathson’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 commitments to German quality car producer BMW, which has had an assembly plant in South Carolina for more than 10 years. Mathson provides design, engineering and manufacturing in plastics, elastomers and ceramics as well as MIM. “We are committed to providing our customers with cutting edge technology and quality products through our proven systems,” said Mathson’s CEO, Boney Mathew. “We anticipate a tremendous future for our plant in Hodges.”
