Höganäs to double Brazilian capacity
Swedish powder giant Höganäs AB will
invest about SEK50 million to build a new iron powder
atomising plant in Brazil. The company decided to double its
iron powder manufacturing capacity there because of strong
and growing demand in South America for PM grade and
consumable powders.
Scheduled to be on stream in June
2008, the new 32,000 sq. ft. plant will operate within the
manufacturing complex at Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo. “We are
working hard to grow the market together with our customers
and we are committed to serve them locally,” said Claudinei
Reche, managing director, Höganäs Brasil Ltd.
