Chinese auto parts exports to US soar
Exports of Chinese auto parts to the US in 2006 increased 28.1 per cent to $6.9 billion, according to Automotive News. However, Mexico remains the chief supplier to the US with auto parts shipments valued at $26.4 billion.

China’s and Mexico’s gains were Japan’s and Canada’s losses, with Japanese auto parts exports declining 6.5 per cent to $15.4 billion, and Canadian exports dipping 5.4 per cent to $20.4 billion.
