Paradigm shifted as Falcon swoops

Falcon Diversified Manufacturing, Inc., has purchased the company and assets of PM parts maker Paradigm Sintered Products, of Battle Creek, Michigan. Paradigm filed for Chapter 11 status in October last year, said Ronald Holcomb, president/CEO and owner of Falcon.

Paradigm was formed in 1998 by Anjan Sabbani, a former GM engineer, who purchased Bear Metals. It experienced serious financial difficulties when Delphi, its largest customer, filed for bankruptcy.

Holcomb, who had formerly served as vice president of Paradigm, intends to grow the business by diversifying into new markets. He expects to expand the current 15,000 sq. ft. plant to 60,000 sq. ft. within the next 18 months and add to the current staff of five employees. Secondary operations equipment will be added along with a higher compacting-press capability, exceeding 800 tons.
