GKN Sinter harvests praise at John Deere

Deere & Company's Commercial and Consumer Equipment Division has named GKN Sinter Metals, Auburn Hills, Michigan, supplier of the year. GKN also earned Partner-level supplier status in the John Deere Achieving Excellence programme, the company's highest supplier rating.

GKN reported that its Kersey, Pennsylvania, plant's performance was rated the best of all direct material suppliers to the Deere division. GKN was recognised for providing outstanding quality products and service as well as striving for continuous improvement. The PM parts maker supplies John Deere plants in Horicon, Wisconsin, Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Augusta, Georgia, and Greeneville, Tennessee, with various items from gears to cruise control latches.
