Chops and changes at top of GKN

The board of UK-based GKN plc, parent company of GKN Sinter Metals, has made changes to the board and executive committee. Several key executives have joined the executive committee and others are leaving the company.

Andrew Reynolds Smith, chief executive of GKN Sinter Metals, will join the company's executive committee on 1 January. Ian Griffiths, group managing director, GKN Automotive, is resigning from the board as of 31 January to become managing director of a major UK-based business. Richard Clowes, group managing director, corporate development, will leave GKN plc as of 31 December. Nigel Stein, finance director, will also assume responsibility for corporate development.
